Sensor problems
Hi guys, I'm new but read these ads frequently. I'm having a problem with my Audi B5 1996 2.6 V6. If I start the car it battles to start, then WHEN it starts the car doesn't want to accelerate properly from 800 rpm up to about 1600 rpm. It stutters as if it needs petrol or air. After these revs the car runs very well. Can some-one give me an idea where to look? Thanks,
The car battles to start and immediately after it starts you have to crank it a little bit to get it on 800/1000 rpm. After that the car idles perfectly but if you drive with it it seems as if the car doesn't get enough air or gas. The lamda censors was tested and the car was on the computer. The computer says there is nothing wrong with the car. The censors was tested separately and there was also nothing wrong with them. I've also cleaned all the small electrical plugs with electro clean but also didn't make any difference.
That doesn't sound normal to me ("extremely hot").
Check your air filter, air box and pre-MAF intake piping again. The MAF should have cool air blowing through it.
If you still can't find any obstructions, start thinking about an electrical issue (test the MAF current, etc.).
