if you are going to rebuild it you should look into whether you have some kind of lean condition or poor cooling issue, so that you dont toast the rebuilt engine... something that could have lead up to make that #4 hole get hot enough to burn up...
oh of course, but there isnt too much i can do first. Right now i am looking at getting the 2.0FSI crank with the proper pistons that will allow me to keep the stock rods if they are fine. I wont bore it out unlss i have to which im aure there is wall damage so we will see. I am looking at low to mid 1.9L displacement
So i started the teardown today. Got the bumper off and the hood off and depressurized the fuel lines, ill be poasting pictures as it gets going more. Having a broken right hand really makes this a b!tch.

So i got the motor out and on a stand. Once broken exhaust valve, one super toasted piston, all cylinder walls grooved, all pistons and valves have metal transfer
