I have the ebay job in my A4 and its been fine, the only down side (which I have to say is not much of a down side) when you have it in gear you can still move the shaft around like it is in neutral but in saying that when driving it's never an issue for one I did not realise this till 6 months after installing it and then only because someone else mentioned it.

you can spend $150 for a short shifter if you want.... i made my own (no i didnt just cut it down). it is very very simple to do. all you need is a drill press and a grinder. then i cut it down and retreaded it to lower the **** a bit.

PM me if you need instructions. you can basically make it as short as you want.

But you still end up with the sloppy stock feel. The point of going with a good solid short shifter like JHM is to not just make the shifts shorter but to make them feel solid and shift like butter. The JHM shifter was the only shifter that didn't feel notchy, which is why I stock with the stock shifter till the JHM kit hit the market.

Im going to go with what you said. Im waiting to get the money for it and then buy it. Id rather have clean crisp shifts, over short and notchy shifts
