Default Should I go B7?

I love my car, and I have no intention to sell it. But everyday I wonder if I should also buy a B7.

I have no idea what I should expect from a B7 (performance, maintenance, usual problems... ) do you guys, as B5 owners like me would go B7?

To be honest, I'd go for a nice B6. Cheaper, and I like the way the B6 feels on the road. The B7's steering feels too light for my tastes.

But don't take my word for it, go out and take a test drive of both.

I have the benefit of the best of both worlds. I have a '96 2.8 and love it. The wife has an '07 A4 and both her and I love that car as well. I hate the fact that it is an automatic, but the car drives well (agree with the light steering) has decent power (stock) and excellent ride characteristics (also stock). Who knows, when it's time for a new car, my wife will probably get it and maybe I'll upgrade to the B7 ;-)

There is good info in the B7 stickies - only thing I saw that would be unsettling is cam follower failure but apparently if you stay on top of it it's not a big deal.
