Should I keep my a4 or sell it please help
So my a4 has quite a few problems I'm sundering if i should keep it or sell it. Its a 96 2.8. The pros are the body and paint are in great shape overall. The car has very low milage 118k the engine runs smooth with no weird noises. And it's a audi so it's hard to give up. Problems I have I just noticed transmission problems all the lights on the dash are lit up like it shows it's in all gears and sometimes when you go in reverse it clunks hard in reverse. Googled my symptoms and I think it may be a bad multifunction switch "nutral safety switch" in the transmission. Priced one for around $400 that's if that even is the problem. Next my tachometer and speedometer don't work priced to repair the instrument cluster about $200. The. I want to replace the timing belt just for a piece of mind. And lastly the ac has a leak and needs to be charged. Everything else works "for now" ^_^ so any ideas should I keep this? Or sell it? I can probably spend about $1,200 in repairs as of now and I can do 90% of the work myself. Ps the car is used now for lots of highway driving as my job is on the road almost all day. But 118k is low milage

How long have you had this car? Do you have any proof that the timing belt job has ever been done on it before? If not, that's the first major expense you need to do immediately if you're going to keep it.
At the end of the day, you're either going to have to spent a couple of thousand fixing everything(and that's only of the tranny problem is not serious), or sell it and get something newer. Just remember that nobody in their right mind would buy the car as it is now, unless you sold it for dirt cheap.
The best solution may be to part it out and get what you can for the parts, then use that money towards something newer that has fewer problems.
