Default Signs of a failing DV?

Well thats the question.

Reason im asking, is because over the last few days my usual spike 11 hold 9-10 has turned into a solid 8, and now has gone back to 5psi (which is the default boost that the DV opens at as a fail safe)

The reason I believe its a screwed DV is because as I get into boost higher than 5 psi, I get an almost owl type of whoing sound that changes as the turbo spools more. Under 5 pounds and everything is peachy

Stock DV? Never replaced that you're aware of? Possible it's going bad...the diaphram inside is probably worn out...

Buzz member Emilgevor for a new upgraded DV. We put a pair of the ones he sells into his S4 last night along with a Giac ECU tuned for 16-17psi. They clamp closed strongly, hold boost very well, and from looking at one disassembled, appear very well-built. From what I saw and felt during the drive, they are awesome.

Thanks Devil. Yeah I have one left and the guy who emailed me about it is not responding. Let me know if you are interested and I will get you the details.
