single din to double din conversion

Default single din to double din conversion

i'm looking for information on converting my single din to a double din i'm finding a lot of information but none have been very helpful i'm it would work on my car i have a 98 a4 with climatic control

I have completed this conversion personally. I haven't had the time to get photos and my walkthrough together yet but them is a great write up over on Auditing.com. I'd post the link but I'm postng from my phone. Just search "Single Din to Double Din conversion".

If you have the partial facelift. u only need the cage you dont need to worry about the climate control unit. just cutom mount the double radio cage.

what cage did you use? i'm looking at this one not sure what it's off of cuse i found it by part number

8P0858005D this is the superseded part number

I was at the NY Car Show and didnt even notice that......Jesus that's bad.

This is the one I used.....not sure on the part number but Ebay always has one or two. Most importantly, which HVAC module do you have? can you take/post a pic?
