My vote is clean the throttle body intake. toothbrush and carb cleaner, get way up in there as far as you can reach, and keep spraying/cleaning until runoff is clear.

I had the same symptoms and that was it, but mines a 1.8.

Worth a look anyway, it never hurts to clean out the throttle body.

 

Im gonna try doing that tomorow.

 

just spray the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. the 2.8 throttle body is a pita to get to unlike you 1.8 engines lol
