Skythe's official hello
Here's another look.
Bra for the longer trips
I enjoy looking at what you guys have done to yours, like suede interiors, different suspension setups, etc. I don't know a whole lot about cars, but I don't mind learning from what you're posting like rim/tire sizing
I'm at 171,2XX miles so I don't push it much, and am a student, but I'd like to:
-update the headlights, probably e-codes
-I need to replace the suspension/control arms and would like to go lower
-a working sunroof would be nice (I have 2 in my garage, 1 in the car and none work)
-Magnaflow 14815
I've considered tinting the tails and de-badging, but I'm enjoying the red contrast. I'm not one of those deaf teens with their subwoofers rattling their car apart (I usually laugh when I roll up next to one of those), however my friend practically gave me his 2 10" Kicker Comps and MA Audio amp, so they're in the back.
One thing I really enjoy about the B5s is that with a well-kept paint job, the cars look really good for being ~10 years old. They got away from the boxier style and dull looking paint. I'm sure I have a bias, but some of the newer Audi models look like the other newer cars and I don't like it at all, especially when you see about 6 or 7 A4 B6s in the parking lot

i am about to buy the LED strip from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-x-2...Q5fAccessories
where did you get power from, i see that you can have it on when your lights are off so thats interesting and how did you attach it to the grill?
BTW i only found the 30cm ones with 15 LEDs so i think i would rather get the 24cm with 24 LEDs

I'd hold out till you find the thicker ones. They will be brighter for sure from the looks of his photos.
I am researching LED's becuase I am thinking of taking my headlights apart and replacing the ones that came with it, with brighter ones. I saw an Audi today and could see it's LED's a at least from a 1000 yards away in the DAY TIME, mine are very hard to notice on a sunny day. A lil disappointing.
I have totally highjacked your thread. Sorry.
they look thicker on his photos cuz he used 2 strips on each side, so i would just need to order 2 sets to get that result. ohh and if you want to have power when the ignition is on dont you just connect it straight to the battery?
after some more research i found this http://store.ijdmtoy.com/JDM-White-B..._ddl_sku69.htm
looks like it is higher quality than the led strips
looks like it is higher quality than the led strips
The battery always has power, so no.

I think you probably could connect directly to the battery even though it always has power. A switch should cut it out. I was a little scared to attach the tiny wires to such a big battery
I know you're not supposed to...but I ran the power cable to my fuse box to the sunroof fuse. It's grounded very well under the hood. The wires enter the computer box and go down behind the steering column. I should have gone with the LED toggle switch, but didn't and kept leaving them on after parking. I threw a red LED at the door where the fuse box is so when I get out, I'll notice they're still on. I know a little more about circuitry than cars so it wasn't too much of a problem for me, still not the brightest idea
If you find a large power source elsewhere, let me know so I can up the brightness. If it's overcast, they usually shine pretty far away, but 1000 yds away is impressive. Police haven't bothered me yet, they usually just stare if I keep them on in construction zones.
For attaching to the drivers side, I don't know why but there's an opening in the fog grille which is just large enough to slide the two strips through. For the passenger side, I drilled a small hole and ran it through. Other really small holes drilled and wired the strips in place--not glued so I can remove them later.
