Did you get the "firm" or "soft"? Hold the sexual comments please

Picked it up from PureMS. Ended up being $30-something with shipping. linky.

I'll be honest I didn't know they made firm/soft versions. PN off the one I bought is ST-B5-EMT01. I wouldn't know what a firm one would feel like vs. soft though. Also, thats what she said.

It was a bit of a pain in the ***, thought I'm told its harder on older B5's. The thing in the second pic in the OP is an aluminum bracket on the front of the block held on by three bolts. It acts as a bit of a cup for the snub mount to fit into. There's a post welded onto the hard intercooler pipe behind the bumper rebar. The mount slides onto that and sits inside the little cup. I had to loosen the motor mount bolts, shave a little chunk off the inside of the snub and grind on the aluminum bracket a little to get the new piece on, but it was well worth it. Took about 2 hours from start to finish, including picture and beer breaks

You know what I must be smoking crack... I was thinking of their side motor mounts for some reason. There is only one Stern Snub iirc.

The Stern Snub mount only comes in one hardness. It is the Stern Motor Mounts that come in a Soft and Firm Version. lol

Could have paid less here
