So, is my car a pre-facelift or post-facelift?
I bought a silver '99.5 1.8TQM like 2 months ago for $5,000 - sold it in a month for what I paid. It had 97k on it with the timing belt/water pump replaced at 95k and 4 new tires. I have had a '97 Europa blue automatic 1.8TQ since last August.
I liked my '97 auto better than the '99.5 lol. I guess I just got caught up in the hype of the stickshift '99.5, but my taste is a bit different than most people on this forum I guess. It wasn't what it was cracked up to be imho.
I lost some tax/insurance money, but I'd rather just have Ol' Blue, and I know I sold the right car

Ya....... that was lame lmfao. I couldn't drive an Auto one.... I've driven plenty and I just can't stand them.
I've got no problems with my auto
I wouldn't mind if it were a manual, but I don't feel like any less of a man because I don't have to shift it myself. I drive ~15mph to work every day in gridlock traffic on the highway for 1+ hour most of the time. Your leg would be quivering every time you got to work and got home if you were me and wanted to drive a standard lol
I wouldn't decide to keep a car based on its gearbox, though.
To each his own
