Default Spark Plugs

I am looking to get a new set of plugs... i was wondering if anyone had any brand or special spark plug I should get? or should I just do with the norm.

would help to let us know your motor and any mods...

if you are stock, just get the stock plugs

if you are a 1.8 and tuned get some upgraded, i run champion coppers... good spark, don't last quite as long, but work great

most people here say use ngk spark plugs. i have bosch platinum +2's and they seem to work without a problem

i went out and bought Bosch Platinum +4... i hope they work well. If someone has to say why not to use them then say now so i can return them.

:]

Most say NGKs are best, and they are cheap, Ive heard alot of people recommend them over any platinum or multi tip plug, but if you already bought them whatever, idk how much you paid but the ngks are like less than 4 bux a pop i think. NGK bkr6e

My NGK plugs were less than $3 each. If you're a 30v, or a stock 1.8T, gap is .032". For a chipped 1.8T, go to .028" and for a 12v I think anywhere between .032" and .040" is good. Not that gapping a +4 is all that easy...

lol, i am going to assume that u know that you dont have to gap the bosch +2's or +4's
(not trying to sound like a know it all, i promise) this is the reason that i got the +2's, i was lazy and didnt want to take time to gap anything or give myself the opportunity to screw something up

A lot of plugs come "pre-gapped", but that doesn't mean you shouldn't still check them before installing them.

Yeah I was always told to double check them cause they can be off.
