I'm stock,so i am a little confused on this whole,chip ecu thing.

What does this chip do for our B5's?

Does this chip,apply for Automatic B5's or only stick/standard B5's?

Do i need to buy other things,along with my ecu,being chipped?

I have a 2001 A4 B5 Quattro ( Audina is her name )

 

The chip changes how the engine runs by manipulating variables in the tune allowing for higher boost in your 1.8t.


It could work for auto and manuals.

It is in your best interest that you upgrade your DV valves and take care of any boost leaks.

 

a chip with supporting mods is a great investment. It will work with auto and manual is it only changes the engine. And for #130 its a good deal

 

A chip and DV is the best bang for your buck upgrade you can ever buy for the B5. You would not be disappointed. It is a real, legit boost in HP and TQ that you can feel. Not like, "Hey, I dropping in a K&N air filter, and I think I can feel the extra 5 HP they promised." The remapping and extra boost is awesome, and your biggest regret is not doing it sooner.
