Default Stateside again...

Hey guys, just made it back to Kansas for a couple weeks off from Iraq. Unfortunately, my A4 isn't registered or insured right now, so I can't go out for a joy ride. I miss driving my baby!

Anyway, what's everyone been up to?

Hey bro, glad you checked in - a recent thread went up wondering how you were doing since no one had heard from you. Glad you're doing well - what's your day-to-day routine like over there?

I tried to come home and surprise the family, but my wife figured it out about 2 days before I made it home. I was able to suprise everyone else though, so that was pretty cool.

I picked up some kind of nasty infection in my toe on my way home, so I've had to go to the docs every morning to get my foot checed out. It's pretty nasty. I should be home until about the 18th. Depending how the foot goes, I may pull the car back out of storage, through a temp registration on it and insure it for the month, just so I can drive her again.

Truthfully, though, I've really been trying to decide if I want to just fix up the 99.5 I have now, or upgrade to a newer one. Both have their pros and cons, and I can't decide. I have about 6 months left over there until I'm home for good. So, I'll figure it out eventually.

I sit behind a couple computers 12 hours a day now, 7 days a week. Not a very exciting deployment to say the least. But, the extra pay sure is nice...

Thanks for the support guy... Oh, and Phil, love the wheels. Look real nice!
