I finally took the pictures, but now I can't upload them because I can't find my card reader. I'm going to inspect and measure anything I can and note anything that looks like it may be out of the ordinary. What's the body piece called that makes up the side of the engine bay (also the part that the fender bolts onto)? I'm thinking that part is probably damaged too.

Thanks Midniteoyl. I was able to find this pic and just now drew on the lines and measurements I took today. It's old, but nothing has changed since then. This pic was taken after I added the new hood and bumper (obviously). The bumper was also adjusted to its maximum settings to compensate for the bent frame, so the damage is probably worse than it looks.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that the headlights won't mount mount properly, even after installing the new radiator core support. The mounting being off means that the aim is way off, regardless of how much I adjust it.

I feel bad for my car too. I feel even worse for letting it suffer like this for almost two years. I haven't taken it to a shop for any accident related repairs or evaluations yet, but I really want to soon. I had an alignment done almost a year ago, but they never told me anything was damaged.

Andrew, I know you said the dealer fixed your car enough to make the handling almost perfect, but is it likely that a shop could make it so close to perfect that you could never tell that it was in an accident, even when driving at high speeds? Precision is very important to me, as I will be racing this car in the future.

Hey just a random idea. Go over your shocks with a fine tooth comb! We found mine snapped and didn't even know it! Look close!

Good idea chocalotstarfish, but I just replaced them with coilovers. I am thinking that the part of the cowl where the shock is mounted may not be where it's supposed to be though. Is there any way to check this without any expensive equipment?

My goal is to find out what parts are definitely damaged, what parts may be damaged, and what parts are definitely not damaged. I'd like to figure all of this out prior to taking it anywhere.

That's somewhat of a relief. I'm just so tired of driving my car in this condition. I want to finally do something about it, now that I finally have the money to.

I asked one body shop for an estimate and they said they wouldn't be able to tell me much until they hooked it up to their machine to see exactly what's damaged. They said $200 just for the eval, two hours of labor and another $100 for using their machine I guess. I also asked them what they would charge to replace the subframe. They told me 4 hours of labor plus parts. Does all of this sound like a good deal to you guys? They seem to be very reputable and they cover their work with a lifetime warranty.
