Default Steering fluid question

Quick question. Is there any steering fluid I can pick up at any auto store autozone, napa etc. That will be ok to put in the car or would it just be safer to buy crap from the Audi dealer. I know it's a mineral based fluid so I don't want to put something in there that shouldn't be in there.

The steering fluid must have some specification so as long as you buy another brand, but with the same specifications, and not at a very low price (too cheap means trouble) you should be ok.
