i know why the seal broke cause i put in regular power steering, so i have to replace it, since it leaks like crazy...but i was wondering if an non-quattro a4 steering rack would fit on a quattro a4? its a 97 2.8L

or even a quattro 4 cylinder steering rack would work?

Rack's not unique to quattro or FWD models.

It's however, unique to I4 and V6 models.

4 cylinder racks fit, but they lack the steering damper that's unique to the V6.

nevermind i found an steering rack that is a v6 quattro for $85....25 miles away, i think ill get it =)
