Default steering wheel problem

Hello guys!
I have a question for you.
last weekend I was trying to fix some problems of my turn signal stalk for my audi 2001 a4 1.8 turbo tip-tronic.

I took the steering wheel out and cleaned my turn signal stalk with sandpaper.

after I put all the parts together since then my steering wheel has been really stiff and the wheel is not aligned and the wheel is one o'clock right side turned.

also, airbag CEL is on.

I checked the power steering wheel fluid reservoir and the level of the reservoir is max.

if you guys have any idea for this issue please let me know and help me !!!

Thank you

Well for starters, you need to take the steering wheel back apart and put it on straight. There are no alignment marks like on newer Audi's so you're gonna have to make sure the wheels are straight and then eyeball it. Did you disconnect the battery before you started messing with the airbag? Apart from being dangerous, if you yank the airbag while the battery is still plugged in, that airbag light will come on. You can't clear it with a regular code reader or by disconnecting the battery once it comes on, you need Vag Com.

Yes I did disconnect the battery before taking the wheel out. The other thing is that the horn is not working at all.

btw, what about the stiffness of the wheel that is a serious symptom for the car how to fix it?

Anyone knows the answer Please Help ME!

Thank you very much!
