I havent noticed this small red thing on any other Audi, is this stock for an '01 1.8T? When looking at it up close, it is all one piece with the T. I am just curious, I like how it looks with the black background.

jk, its put on the 2001 model to represent 170hp instead of the normal 150hp on everything prior to 2001

 

It's stock for the 2001 and 2001.5 but it should be placed next to where the license plate should be.



Only the older models (I believe 99 under) have the badges on the top of the trunk line.

yea i have the same badge but my cars red so it kinda blends in...
but i debadged it so now its gone...haha

Should the emblems be placed in the mid section of the trunk??? I am aware that the car has been in an accident in the passenger rear section of the car.

 

Yeah, 1999.5+ B5's should have the emblems placed like the ones shown in the picture. I noticed the picture is the European version trunk but you should get the idea.

The 2001 & 2001.5 models both have the K03S turbo which like stated, puts out stock horsepower of 170HP instead of the usual 150HP found on the older 1.8T B5's.
