The facelift euro trunks are different than facelift NA trunk lid and the 96 trunk lid

Wish I had euro facelift trunk lid, bumper and tails =(

Yes there is. It's called the B6! LOL. Kidding.

Well, by post-facelift I really mean facelift after the pre-facelift.

I have never seen a 01 with the 1.8t emblem up top like yours though... Either 98 or 99.5-01.5 A4s all had the A4 emblem and 1.8t/2.8 emblem on the middle of the trunk lid aside the license plate I thought.

Maybe I'm just weird (Hiwords, shut up) but I don't know why everyone sweats the euro trunks - with an NA plate, it doesn't look right to me.

I agree, I wasnt excited when I first heard about this style of trunk. Its nice, and more rare, but its not like it is as great as the face lift styling ( Headlights and fog lights and tail lights).

Yep, I would definitely do the facelift upgrades before that (which I did - my car is a pre 99.5, although it came with facelift tails and a full size passenger mirror). I did headlights and fogs and it's a great look, far better than what it had before. It'll look even better when my LED running lights arrive and the new HIDs go into the fogs to match the low beams

I noticed my wifes new 01 1.8T had a full size mirror too. What is the idea behind the smaller/larger passenger mirror. I like the smaller size mirror, but I dont understand why the size difference.

The pre-facelift cars (early 99 and older) had a smaller passenger door mirror (probably a holdover from Euro models where many of the streets are narrower). At the midyear facelift in 99, when the headlights went to projectors, fogs went to the lower bumper, etc, they went to a full-size door mirror because it looks more balanced. Your wife's 01 should have the mirror (as it does). My car, being an early 99, should've had a stubby (aka the "Nemo mirror"), but for whatever reason it doesn't, and I'm glad. I definitely like the full-size mirror better.
