Unhappy strange things!

hi all!
I have an Audi A4 1.8 1997, as I was locking the car this afternoon both my front windows went down! they are electric and I hadn't even touched the buttons! I don't have remote central locking, just central locking, I also noticed that when my car is locked the fog light button flashes and it is the shape of a triangle in red? anyone know whether this is a common electrical fault or am I looking at a potentially expensive fix!

The rear fog button and the red indicator blinking on it is for the alarm being armed on your car, so that is normal..on the windows...I've heard it happens on other cars, you can TRY and reset the window regulators by doing the following:

With all doors closed and the windows up, use the key to unlock the drivers door but HOLD it in the unlock position in the door until all the windows are fully down..... Wait a few seconds and then use the key to lock all doors holding it in the lock position in the door, this will roll up all windows. Again wait a few seconds after removing the key.

hi there! thank you for your reply I thought the fog light was indicating that the alarm was activated! I will give it a go with the window issue!
thanx again.
