Suggestions please.
I live in MA. I will be going skiing/snowboarding this winter. I need new tires. I have two tires on the front that were brand new in April and two Goodyear Assurance tires in the back. The rear left tire has a leak and I fill it up at least once a week. My question to you guys is this; should I buy a nice set of all seasons now, or wait a couple months and buy some Bridgestone Blizzaks for the winter and some nice tires to put on my new 18's coming in the spring? I can't decide.

I'm leaning more towards getting the winter tires on there in a couple months. I'd just have to buy new tires this spring anyway since I'm not going to use 18's in the winter. Stock 16's will be my winter wheels.
since you are in MassASSachusetts (sorry I had to) I would say buy the snow tires. All season tires are decent but as I found out last winter, a dedicated set of winter tires is the way to go. Then just save up for the winter months and get the summer tires for the 18's
There are other options out there as well besides Blizzaks as well. The Blizzaks I owned on my previous car wore badly. I'm currently leaning on Nokian Hakkapeliitta's.

I'll never buy a tire that I can't pronounce. Hahaha kidding. We are asses aren't we? I'm not, but I know plenty of Massholes. I was looking on tire rack and the Blizzacks were the top rated winter tires... Plus I think someone here suggested them before. I'll look at other tires though, thanks for the input.
Don't get me wrong Blizzaks are good, they grip very well. I and many others have had wear issues, look in the reviews and elsewhere on-line.
IAmTheDevil posted this not too long ago: look up Green Diamond tires. Insane ice/snow tires with embedded carbide teeth in the compound. And they're inexpensive too.
He runs Hankook Icebears.
Like I said.....look around and read a ton of reviews.

They're no joke and in New England, you get enough icing to really warrant them. ObnoxiousDrunk is right on - get snows now and 18s with performance tires later. I ran all-seasons until last winter and it was pretty good but true snow tires are awesome and are the way to go. Like he said, I'm on Hankook Icebears and I'm very impressed with them (got them on steel wheels from a prior owner for a killer price so I thought I'd try them. When they need replacement, I'll be getting Green Diamonds. If you don't find a dealer for them any closer to you, you can contact O'Shea Tires in Cortland NY - he stocks them and could probably get them out to you easily enough.
