I know Hiwords is running H&R race springs on stock shocks and it doesn't roll over or wallow at all - it actually rides and handles nicely. Considering what you're thinking of replacing, look into Vmaxx coilovers. They're no competition for KW or Koni coilovers for performance, but you can put the ride height where you want it and they ride nicely - a little stiffer than stock, not harsh, and the price is around $600 I believe, far less than the others. They're available used from time to time for as little as $400/set. Or if you're willing to go up in height some, throw a setup from an S4 on there - great ride and nice reflexes, but only a finger lower than an A4 suspension. you can get them for a song.

Good info, thanks, will definitely keep it in mind. It could be that my stock shocks are blown out, perhaps if it has been lowered for some time and having plenty of opportunity to ruin the stockers, thus providing minimal damping ability? A CO setup would be cool...........I just want to get that sharp handling and cornering feeling.

I was told this morning that Stratmosphere has Vmaxx coilovers listed at $549.
