suspention question/thoughts...
im going to make this quick and simple... i have a koni coilover kit on my car, front right blew out but i dont have 2 to 3 weeks to have my car down to get them rebuilt by a koni shop(i pretty much have this week, due to obligations next weekend). my idea was buy a stock suspention, slap that bad boy on sent out the koni's and get them rebuilt and put them back on later... or any thoughts on a set of tein or bilstein coilover and just r/r altogather(since the last idea is not very cost efficient).
or...
any other ideas?
thanks stevo

Koni should have lifetime warranty for their products so it should be free.
I would just ask someone local if they have any suspension laying around. If you were in CA I would let you use mine while yours is in the shop.
From what I've heard Tein Coils are pretty rough compared to the others. If you look around, you can find them for pretty cheap though.

koni's are lifetime but i wasnt the origional owner and the own thing that was done to it where the koni's so they wont do anything w/out the recipt. and there 120 each and i would only do the front two the backs are fine so it wouldnt be to bad.
I'm looking at getting a coil over kit for my C5 A6...but dang, are vmaxx really that fragile? I was looking at either stein or h&r until I came across your post macpyro - how in the world did you blow one? Or did they have a lot of milage on them being that you are the 2nd owner?
i guess just alot of miles, i just replaced them with the vmaxx kit and i like them. It's alittle soft but i like the overall ride better, im going to miss the koni's on track days though.
I don't know, I'm skeptical when it comes to buying off-brand/cheap materials...esp. for the girl. Something as important as suspension - wouldn't want to end up damaging more things on her due to a blown coilover. I'm probably going to fork out the $1200 and go with H&R coils - read nothing but great reviews about them
