Swap
I think faster A4 for is wrong in saying a BAT 1.8 would be more reliable than an S4 swap. For one, you'd have to swap the 1.8, then throwing a BAT is always asking for hours spent chasing issues and wrenching. Now is it worth it? Most of the time! But is it more reliable than an S4 engine, making the same power? No.
On the new S4, they built two identical engines. One supercharged and one biturbo. The supercharged one was a lil less impressive, but was way more reliable and obviously won the battle.
yeaaa kayakman id have to agree too.. anytime youre talking a single turbo setup vs. a biturbo setup expecially given what we all know about the 2.7t platform.. its gunna be more reliable and easier to work on.. the big thing being the easier to work on.. just conversations ive had with my shop whos owned and run by one guy granted.. whos an audi vw geek, he sometimes turns away 2.7 jobs just cause he doesnt want the headache.. but it also has to do with the fact we live in vermont and if the car is a new england car even the "easier" jobs are just a nightmare.. but even that aside its just asking for trouble.. plus the money involved its just not worth it
