Default System too lean CEL issue

I have a 2001 A4 with an AWM engine that has a CEL:

1 Fault Found:
17536 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean
P1128 - 35-00 - -

I replaced the pre cat o2 already because the Vagcom test showed that it was bad. However, this did not resolve the problem. Does anyone have any ideas? Does anyone know how to trigger the group 34 tests. I was previously able to get them to run by holding the RPM at about 2000 and they would eventually trigger, but this does not happen anymore. Is there a trick to this?

What else should I look at? I couldn't find any vacuum leaks and the MAF looks ok in vagcom.
