Yeah, notice how i was talking about it not mattering because of the vband... But i didnt know that meant it was an internal wastegated housing. Ill have to not go with that one... Also do you guys have any pictures of a turbo completely setup with the dump tube on.

Am I the only person that has any idea what is going on? WOW!!

Mike posted a T25 that didnt have anything to do with this thread. You are correct about the ford housing. It can be used as an internal or external wastegate depending on how you run it and if it has the port for the wastegate.

here is a dump tube. It will go onto the wastegate and go strait to the ground. (3rd time i have said this).

Or like i told you 3 times, you can route it back to the dp so it is quiter

Yes I did but I was just showing what a 5 bolt had to do with a turbo. Even the GT25 can be used as a external wb using a 5 bolt block plate, same thing you do on the T3 5 bolt so that the exhaust only flows thru the turbine wheel.

Doing a dump back into the exhaust is a huge waste of time and money, this is because it will never last since the 2 pipes will always be at a different temp which means the metal of each pipe will expand at different rates.

The T3 and T25 are completely different. You have to weld the flapper on teh T25 shut if you want to run an external gate. As for the plumback, i dont think i have ever seen one fail other than someone not using a flex section when it needed one.

You are way over thinking this. I said I posted the picture of what a 5 bolt has to do with the actual turbo setup seeing that the person that had posted thought it had to do with the "manifold". You seem to be missing that fact.

My wg dump back into the down pipe failed and I had a flex section, it was also made and welded up by Full-race back in 2003. It cracked right at the point where it connected to the down pipe. Not long after that I found out that Full-race stopped offering setups that routed the wg back into the exhaust pipe because they would always fail at some point. So if you haven't seen one fail your not looking hard enough.

To run a T25 flanged setup (standard GT28RS, 2871R etc) with an external gate you have to weld the T25 wastegate flapper shut. You can't just block it off, because the swing valve/flapper is recessed into the housing, whereas with a 5 bolt ford style there is no valve, you simply block off the hole.

Now the GT28RS and some other turbos can also be used in optional T3 flanged housings, 4 bolt TA31 and 5 bolt ford, these housing can be run like any other T3 flanged turbo and an external gate, or internal gate with a flapper assembly that is commonly found on the "super 60" or "T3 60trim".

What's funny, is that of the 100's of Kinetic Motorsport VR6, & 1.8T turbo kits that have been sold with wastegate recirculation into the downpipe, which is all of them, I have never seen or heard of one failing, maybe it has something to do with the cast manifolds, or maybe 100s of people were just lucky.

LOL, Yes I know the wg needs to be weld and if you read the rest of the thread you would have noticed that it has already been point out for peple that didn't know. I am not new to turbo setups seeing that I sell everything from Elims to GT35r turbo kits.

So you think Kinetics has sold more turbo kits then Full-race?
