Default Taking off interior trim pieces.

How do you take off the interior trim pieces on a B5?

Thanks for any input you may have!

refering to the pillars im guessing? they all pop off, literally. If you have airbag tabs, theres usually a bolt behind them on the A and C pillars. The B pillars are a bitch to get off without trim tools and you will probabaly break them in the process. They are on tight, your gonna be thinking "Oh **** they gonna break" but they will come off.

To get the long strip across the dash, you'll have to remove the entire center tunnel all the way back to the rear seat ashtray. Looks more intimidating than it is but there is a fair amount of disassembly. Go to Welcome to AudiWorld.com - The Audi Enthusiast Website, go to the interior tech section, and find the article about making your trim look aluminized. It'll walk you through the entire process step by step with pictures.

For the dashboard piece there's a much easier way. Take off all the clips besides the one right above the middle, then slide a zip tie down each side so it is against that middle post. Then just pull straight out and you're good to go.
You clearly won't be able to reuse that clip but there's no reason to and it saves about an hour.

I used a door trim puller to get my middle clip off but that method does seem safer, best part is I found the clip a couple months later on top of the radio.
