terrible gas mileage!
hah this remided me of a little joke my step dad played on his friend who did this religiously. this guy he worked with was a service tech and drove several hundred miles in a week. and for about 2 weeks my step dad started sneaking gas into his tank. he would put a gallon in, then two gallons, then three... untill the guy started bragging he was getting like 50 something miles per gallon. he had no idea how, but he was.
then for a few weeks they started siphoning out gas. he came into the office one day scratching his head. he had just taken his car to the dealer because he went from 50mpg to like 8mpg. the dealer told him everything was fine. they kept this going for a while until the guy finally figured it out lol.

but 22-17, its a lot isnt it?
have you done a treatment of seafoam recently? you may want to do that - at least for the gas tank, if not for the oil too.

you do know about the difference in octane ratings overseas, right?
ok sorry to butt in but im only noticing 16 mpg city. of course i do enjoy spirited driving every once in a while but most of the time its shifting after 3 grand. i did notice the car car is going into slight limp mode every now and again. i thought i might have a code and brought it to o'reilly's. sure enough i had a p0300, random misfire on it. any suggestions?
ok i filled up the thank i belive is 15 gal, im supposed to get what 350 hwy/city about that right? ok i usually get 300 or so, but this last time i only got about 250, and i've been driving like a grandma!! also i noticed that i lost power, yes, a lot, that car does not respond as it was about 2 weeks ago , where should i start checking ???
i did the tune up about 2 months ago, filters, sparkplugs, oil.....

I use 92 Octane in my 2.8 and always get at least 315 but on a long trip i once got 405 miles
Good to see the 2.8 keeping up with the 4 cylinders in MPG(hungary turbo)
The 2.8s could get away with 89 octane but as far as im concerned
running anything lower than 91 Octane on a 1.8T is a SIN
