Try new spark plugs, it's cheap and easy and couldn't hurt since you'd be doing a tune up of sorts.

have you done a treatment of seafoam recently? you may want to do that - at least for the gas tank, if not for the oil too.

I dont want to seafoam the gas tank cuz then i have to change the filter and the last time I change the filter the dealer was trying to charge me $400 (cuz the tank had to be removed) but a frined helped me i only paid about $150, i did the did the seafoam for the oil about a month ago...

Definitely get new spark plugs, and check the spark plug wires get new ones if ya you can but they can be a lil spendy.

i did the tune up about 2 months ago, filters, sparkplugs, oil.....
Check your plugs also
I use 92 Octane in my 2.8 and always get at least 315 but on a long trip i once got 405 miles
Good to see the 2.8 keeping up with the 4 cylinders in MPG(hungary turbo)
The 2.8s could get away with 89 octane but as far as im concerned
running anything lower than 91 Octane on a 1.8T is a SIN
