Lol, well I have free tuition at George Fox University. My mom works there. So I'm taking advantage of the situation by taking out a small loan and making my baby how I want, which is wide. You're familiar with A4rob's car right? I know he did some fabrication, but it was just adding a few inches onto the fenders and blending them into the doors. I'd like to do that, a nice custom RS4 look. Then I'd have some money to drop on the dopest wheels I could find (because the shoes make the man) and I'd look into an APR turbo upgrade or a custom one. (Though lately with The Russian's posts, maybe a 4.2 swap would be better!)
Thats my plans lol.

I had 20mm H&R spacers before on my RS4 wheels. I had nasty camber. Then I went with 18x9.5 custom wheels in a et32 offset and they poked a little and also had nasty camber to fit. Needless to say, I burned through uneven tires. lol

lm leaving my 2.8 engine alone until the day it dies. Then the 4.2L is going in. As for the widebody, remember where you live. If you use body filler/bondo to blend the arches, it's likely to crack due to the temperature swings you have throughout the year. Coefficient of expansion is different for that stuff than for the metal of the car. If you're going wide, spend the money to have sheetmetal arches built and welded to avoid those issues.

Good point! I'll keep that in mind. I've got a lot of research ahead. I plan on doing as much work as possibly DIY. That includes respraying.

I would go with a custom turbo upgrade as opposed to the APR upgrade. The APR upgrade just looks way to expensive. You can get much better power for cheaper if you look around. I've been looking around, and I think I want to go with a nice set up from Mike's website... I'm thinking the 2871 Elim with high flow exhaust manifold, and the FMIC that fits under behind the stock bumper. I want to keep my car looking stock, with a powerhouse under the hood. Worse part now is having the money to do it, but saving it for that family vacation I keep talking about... (We're going to Disney World for Christmas this year).

Well, if I manage to buy it and install it before she realizes the money is gone, at least I could make a very fast getaway!!!

Alas, it's not going to happen, not now anyway... but it's nice to dream about it...
