Default thinking about selling the audi...

So guys, I’ve owned the audi for 7 months, and I’m deciding its not the car for me. It’s a luxury sedan, and I want something more sporty and fun to drive, as well as something that’s good for tinkering around with, and fact of the matter is, this isn’t it. The v6 is a great engine, and the car is generally quick, but theres a lot going against it for me.
1) The handling is okay and all, but every time I make a sharp turn, the whole car leans as if im asking too much out of it.
2) The awd is great, especially in the snow. But, lets be honest, a 17 year old male doesn’t want a car that always sticks to the road. I’m looking for something RWD.
3) Not too much of a looker. That’s great for cops and not getting noticed, but going the speed limit the majority of the time would also solve that.
4) Im looking at a miata, which is a convertible. The sunroof can’t fight that.
5) As far as tinkering goes, this engine is not only packed in this car like no other, any parts i would want to install or replace are expensive compared to other cars I'm looking at.

So anyway, here is the ad that I posted on craigslist. Given all the information on it, does the price seem fair? Also, for those of you who have sold a car, please give me any tips on what to do in preparing to sell a car (any car, not just this one).

This car is great! I am only getting rid of it because I am wanting to buy a car thats more "tinker-friendly". Its a very sporty car, while still remaining luxurious and high quality. 5 speed manual, 123XXX miles. The number will change, until this is sold it's my daily driver.

The good -
- The car is almost entirely stock.
- I have installed a Kenwood radio so that I could play CDs (original radio's CD player is in the trunk). I still have the original head unit, which will come with the car.
- I also have aftermarket tail lights (not pictured) which can be swapped in 15 minutes with the original lights.
- Windows are tinted
- This car is sporty, but is under the radar, as far as the cops go. It's 2.8 V6 has a lot of spunk. 0-60 in 6.5 seconds, top speed 140.
- It's an Audi, so you can expect everything to be high quality. The seats are leather, the steering wheel and dash are also leather. REAL wood trim accenting. This is a luxury car, after all.
- This car has never been in an accident, and I am the second owner. It was treated nicely by the last owner and me as well.

The bad -
- The car burns a little oil (like most Audi's).
- the paint is a little scratched here and there. Nothing major though, especially for a 12 year old car

The price is 5700 OBO. I am willing to trade for a Mazda Miata or anything else with rear wheel drive. Email me with an offer.

Only point I don't agree with is the 0-60 time and top speed. Governor on our cars is at 130mph, and the cars are spunky, but I know that most of the NA Japanese coupes (300ZX, Supra, etc) were clocking about 6.5 seconds, and believe me they'd smoke the A4. Otherwise, I'd remove the "burns a little oil" part and amend the performance stats, and go for it.

BTW, as a Nissan lover and former Z owner, I'd highly encourage you to look at the Z and S14 240SX. Awesome RWD coupes with a ton of nodding potential.

Get a 240 if you want a more mod friendly car and RWD. The Miata is slow as molasses and if you think a cramped engine bay is bad in the A4 you'll be hating life "trying" to work on a Z. None of these options have any luxury so throw that out the window. I used to have a 240 decent cars but old.

It says in your add "oil burning problem but now almost non existent" ... you should prolly remove that part if you 1) fixed it 2) want full asking price ..... just my 2cents

If you are looking for a fun, relatively inexpensive, rwd car, I would highly recommend looking at e30s (bmw 3 series from roughly '87-'91). They are a complete blast to drive. Good luck with your sale.
