Thinking about selling -- what to ask?!?!
99.5 1.8TQA. Casablanca White - nice mechanical condition and interior (except for some vinyl peeling on the driver seat). Paint is good, except for the rear bumper that needs painted. I think there is about another 30K miles to go before the timing belt needs done again.
Upgrades:
- GIAC engine chip (Peak boost around 17-18psi)
- GIAC AT transmission chip
- Podi Boost Gauge (above the steering wheel)
- Borla Stainless exhaust
- Techtonics high-flow cat (stainless)
- Bailey Motorsports DV
- N75J
- K&N filter
- 17" OEM Audi wheels
- New 225/45R-17 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires with about 800 miles on them.
- Second set of Millia Miglia Spider wheels with Blizzaks (probably one season left)

Apologies for the pic quality, but my camera is crapped out and I just snapped some quick ones with my cell.

Same question here, how many miles? I paid $4600 for my 99.5 A4 1.8T Quattro, with 112K miles and a fairly fresh timing belt and a fair amount of other recent documented maintenance. The mods are great, but remember that to a lot of buyers out there, they don't mean a thing as far as the value of the car goes. (I sell cars, so I know this) Hopefully you can find a buyer who appreciates the mods and sees the $$$$ you stuck into the car, but to the majority of used car buyers, its just another A4 mods or no mods. Some people even shy away from modded cars, because they assume that a car with mods has been raced often or otherwise beaten on. Basically, I'd say go to kbb.com or edmunds and look up the value of your car, because it also varies a bit based on where you live, quattro is worth more where it snows than in FL. Again, you might have to work to find a buyer who appreciates the mods you did, most don't care.
For the right buyer, you could do pretty well on the sale. For many the mods may make them nervous - adding significant power may make them worry that the car has been beaten on. I'm almost sure that if you have your original parts, you could return the car to stock, sell it that way, and sell the mods separately, and ultimately you could make more that way.
Sorry -- thought I included the miles -- about 110,500.
I had to keep all the mods on the safe side for the AT and I haven't gotten a single ticket in it so I haven't beaten it too hard. LOL!
Yeah, I know what it is worth as a straight A4 - more curious about selling it to fellow Audi geeks who would appreciate the extras.

That's another idea, return it to stock and sell the mods seperately, if its worth the work. I'd try a craigslist ad as well as selling it online, you've got to seek out the buyer who sees the mods as a plus, not as something to stay away from. I sell used cars so I see that the mod thing can go either way, some people won't touch a modded car while others see the value they are getting. A lot of people just don't care, too they just look at it as another 99.5 A4, mods or no mods.
