Default Thinking on buying these Xenon HID lights

I have a 98 a4, with basic headlights and headlight lenses. I was looking for a little bit more yank with the headlights, almost a whitish/blueish look.

I found these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XENON...Q5fAccessories

If I got these would they work just as well with my stock headlight lenses, or do I need clear ones?

thanks!

I doubt they'll put out more light. If you want to stay with halogens,
buy form Sylvania, Phillips or PIAA.

Garbage!!! DOnt waste your money man. Do your self and you car a favor. Instead of spending close to 20 bucks on couple of bulbs that will burn out 3 months down the road and could possibly harm your harness upgrade to HID from www.vvme.com. Ive been using bulbs for about a year and I had to replace 3-4 sets which 20x4=80 bucks roughly. I just got my HID kit and the difference is amazing. Pure white light with high output. Trust me bud you wont be sorry

CRAZYHAWK is right Sylvanias are much better than stock they give off nice whitish light but they are WAY TOO OVERPRICED i remember paying 49.99 at the autozone for a set of lows. HID upgrade was the best thing that i invested my money when it came to headlights

SOMEBODY i agree with you that he should get projectors because the difference is night and day but when i couldn't afford a set of new projectors at that time i just put the HID kid into preface housing and the difference was amazing. Some people say that that will blind others but that's BS because I had mine of for 3 weeks and I mostly drive at night and not a single car flashed me or been bothered by them. So DieCast I say go ahead and spend little more on HID and be amazed with the difference
