Third brake light cover . . .
Today I discovered I had two of the four bulbs out in my third (center) brake light and I want to get them replaced. The car is an '01, but I believe the cover comes off essentially the same way on all the B5 sedans.
My question: are there pressure points on the cover that make the release easier, or is it a matter of brute strength to yank the thing out?
I am not as limber as I once was, go getting a grip for brute strength is a bit of a challenge . . .
Thanks.

I remember having to do that. I think it's two little tabs on the sides that have to be pushed in or pulled out. If you pull hard enough it'll pop out.
If you google 'audi a4 brake light cover' you can see where the tabs are and hopefully that'll help with the placement of your hand. In fact now that I do it, it looks like the tabs are on the bottom/back? Maybe just getting a flat screwdriver in there and prying up?
