Default Throttle problems. Any Ideas?

I ran the codes on my '99 A4, and there is a throttle position problem, does anyone know if I can fix this myself, and if so, how much money will it cost?

throttle body adjustment- just set them back to manufacturers settings... Cost like $50 bucks in a shop not sure how much from stealership<--Audi. Also check boost leaks

TBA's are free. If you paid for one, you got ripped off. Turn the key to ON- do not start- wait a couple mins. and thats it. I don't know how a boost leak would ever cause a TB fault . That fault may be old and irrelevant if you don't know when codes were cleared last.

will keep that in mind a buddy of mine paid 50 at a shop to get this done. I will let him know. As far as the codes i just figured a vac leak threw a sensor off...

Well I put the key to on position for well over three minutes and nothing happened. To me, it sounds like I'm not getting any gas to the engine. I think there is either a leak or a blocked line.

I would test the TPS, but I wouldn't know what voltage/resistance to look for. If a TPS is cheap enough, I'd go ahead and replace that since the TBA isn't doing anything. There isn't much else that can mess up a DBC throttle body. Just be glad you dont have DBW, or you'd be looking into replacing the entire throttle body.

Idk, can you?
Start with cleaning your throttle body. Take it off the intake manifold and clean the inside. Many times people clean what they can with it still attatched, which accomplishes little. You'll need a new gasket for it if you do that. It's a simple and next to free thing to do before replacing parts.
