RE: Too good to be true???!!
Correct. All you get is the sleeves and the collars, nothing else. These will not work with your factory srtuts and springs. So if you already have a set of shocks and springs like Bilsteins and H&R's, this would be a good way to go if you don't want to spend a lot of money. But if you have a stock suspension you will need to purchase aftermarket shocks and springs and then purchase the sleeves and collars. By that time you are getting pretty close to the price of a full coilover set-up.

For a great price on a set of coilovers, check out Stratmosphere in the Rochester area of NY. I got a chance to check out the Vmaxx coilovers on Manufan's car this past weekend, and the stance is perfect (of course, they're adjustable for height, so you can set what you want). He said the handling and ride are nice - firm ride and good control over the car, and looking at the difference between his car and the altitude of mine, I can believe it. Can't beat the price at $599, and that IS for a full setup of springs, struts, perches, wrenches, etc.

Yep, that's the route I'm gonna go after I address a few issues with my car (unfortunately fixing what's broken is more important than modding parts that aren't lol). As for coming up, I'm still game. Send a PM or email to AF member "varsh" as well - he was here this past weekend and he's from CT also (we did his valve cover gaskets and a spark plug job, plus some VagCom recoding) - maybe you guys can drive up together, since he's going to be coming back up before long for more work on his car, and between Hiwords and me, we're always finding things to work on with our own cars. Plus my garage/workshop is now in full effect, so all the requirements are there (hand tools like crazy, air tools, tunes, beer, etc - everything you need for working on cars lol). The more Audis the better
