Default tranny and rear diff fluid

Just checking real quick, this is the good stuff for the tranny AND the rear diff, right? And if anyone knows how much I need that would be great too. http://www.amazon.com/MOTUL-GEAR-300.../dp/B0022ZHQ80

For diff, that's the right one. Some people use Redline 75W90 synthetic as well.

For tranny, Redline MT90 is what i use plus little bit of Redline heavy shockproof.

hmmm... i thought i read somewhere that you can use motul 300 synthetic for both since it meets gl4 and gl5 specs. but i could be wrong.

Found a really good deal on some MT90 here http://miniurl.com/105120 for $10.80 a liter and decent shipping.

Correct. It works in both the manual transmission and the rear diff.

I have ran it many times in my A4 1.8t 5 speed transmissions.
