Anyone know where to get them, and directions on how to do it? I found a kit on ebay for like $400 any thoughts?

Contact these guys. You might be better off with a junkyard gearbox, it's a lot simpler to swap out the whole unit. You'll need a lot of special tools and a hydraulic press to remove or replace any damaged gears, syncros, or blocking rings.

Plus, you could possibly land a 6-speed S4 gearbox...
