trany ?s
I have the fwd auto trans. I read the they can handle up to 300 hp. Now is that 300 hp or 300whp?
So as I'm driving the trans shifts all the time (5 spd auto booo). Now if I drive slow (low psi) it will shift fine. When I drive aggressive (not WOT) it will rev like 200 rpm then shift into gear. I'm just giving it some gas, dosent even pass 5k rpm. It really only happens when its at full psi. Its like this, 1 gear will go to 3k rpm rev to 3200 rpm then go in to 2nd gear. Is this ok? Is it slipping the clutch plates? To me it seems its not shifting fast enough. It doesn't seem that its slipping the clutch plates more so its in neutral for 200 rpm. what do u guys think?

I thought autos have clutch plates and bands. A clutch plate and band for each gear or some thing like that. Where you can fry out 1st and still have 2nd.
I dont understand why it would rev up when it gos down in rpm in the next gear. Its like doing a 200 rpm neutral drop.
