Trouble keeping her running from cold
Hi,
When ever I start my car from cold Winter or Summer although she will start no problem. But I can't keep her running, she cuts out after a sec or 2, after about 6 attemps she will idle and rev fine.
What the problem ??
thanks

Maybe your ignition/throttle bodyneeds to be replaced. My friend has a TT and his did the same thing. When he started it the first time give it gas. Around 2k RPM. Than it should continue to run.
It's probably your coolant temperature sender. It doesn't sound right but I had the same problem with mine, and that's what the problem was. They're like $8 at napa, just make sure to get the same color that your car has, they come in blue and green.
Still trying to sort this out.[sm=dontgetit.gif]
One thing I noticed today, whether it has anything to do with the problem I have to keep her running from startup or not.
Is the instrument panel was reading 25c and then jumped down to 18c as the correct outside temp on the second attempt in starting and she ran fine, no probs.
Any idea's ??
