Default Cold running

My 02 Quattro runs cold. Shortly after starting the cooling fans turn on. They run for awhile. The temperature gauge never gets to far off the cold side. Thermostat stuck open?

Talked with Audi dealer and they suggested the heater core is plugged. I am not in agreement. If the temperature gauge doesn't move off of cold, it can't be the heater core. Thoughts?

I don't see a plugged heater core being the problem either. What engine does your car have? Did they tell you if any fault codes were stored in the ECM?

The engine in the car is a 1.8T. I did not physically take the car to the dealer I fear of " let's take look at it first " response. I firmly believe that the thermostat is stuck open. I have not run a diagnostic on the ECM, yet.
