Default Trouble Starting Car

A month ago, my 99 A4 1.8T was misfiring bad and the car was pretty much vibrating violently when i hit the gas. I take it to the workshop and they replaced the ignition control module as well as the spark plugs.

When i got the car back, it was all good and the CEL was gone as well. A week later, i have trouble starting the car. The car would refuse to turn over and after a couple minutes of resting, it would be fine and would start without a problem.

Yesterday, i experience the same thing and after managing to start it after a few minutes, the CEL came back on and it is still on.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong? I tried to get the codes read as well at AutoZone, but they said they were getting an error and i'm suspecting this is due to the fact that i have an aftermarket deck?

Did you replace your wires when you replaced everything else?

Not too sure what you mean by wires. Are you referring to the coil pack?

There are wires that go to the individual coil packs.

No, i didn't replace that.

I'll give that a go and see if that does the trick. Do you think there could be anything else that's causing this?

The coolant temperature sensor could be contributing to those problems.

Could also be the cam position sensor, but those don't really break.
