Exclamation trunk

i went to open my trunk today and it will not open. and no its not locked i tried locking and unlocking my trunk. it wont budge. i think the locking mechanism is stuck. any one know how to fix this?

Prolly have to do what I did in my MKIV jetta. Pull the rear seat down and climb into the trunk with a flash light and some tools to take the panel off of the deck lid to access the mechanism

i have 2 12" subs that are blocking the way... that would be the last resort. i will if i have to. any other ideas?

Sorry to ask the obvious, but you did try the keyhole in the trunk right?

And more obvious, the trunk has an individual lock, which makes it not open with the remote. Stick the key in, and turn it a quarter turn counter clockwise, then another 1/8th? Turn to unlock the trunk

yeah i tried it multiple times. i doubt trying to pry it open will do anything but mess up my paint..

yeah i wasn't going to try to pry it open. i guess the only way to open it is to try and get to the locking mechanism..

Spray a little WD-40 or something similiar where you insert your key in the trunk and It will should free it up

just tried the WD-40 in the key hole. sprayed a good bit in there i let it set for about a minute then i tried to open it. no success
