Trying this again - Help with '98 A4 V6 coil pack install
I posted this a couple months ago looking for help and no one replied. I just received a new coil pack in the mail and need help with installation.
Could anyone who has experience/knowledge of this sort of thing offer instructions on how to remove the old coil pack and replace it with a new one?
Thank you kindly,
B. James

Just like chcolat said. It's like changing your spark plugs, just you change the coil pack instead of the spark plug :P
Here is a guide for spark plugs to get you going. Guide You're following the same steps but instead of changing your spark plugs you're replacing those big funny things you take out of the engine.

Guys - he has a V6. It's completely different than yours. You have coil on plug setups but the V6 has a coil bank at the top front of the engine, with wires leading to each plug.
To the OP - unbolt the coil bracket that secures the coils. Mark each wire in some way before undoing it so that you put it back correctly on the new coil pack. Disconnect the harnesses on the pack and remove it. Install the new one in the reverse order.
