Default Turbo Question

Has anyone replaced the exhaust section of their turbo while it's installed? My wastegate flapper fell out so I'm taking the exhaust section of a different turbo and installing it on mine. I'm also replacing the wastegate actuator.

Bad time of year for the upgrade or I would be going that route!

That's not possible. Your mani is bolted to the turbine housing.

I'm trying to avoid removing the lines feeding the turbine housing. Seems to me like this would be easier. Can't I just leave this section and remove the turbine to exhaust bolts, along with the mount bolts?

It's more hassle than it's worth. I doubt youll ever reach the housing bolts with it attached in any way to the car. Just undo the lines, remove it, and do it on the bench.
