Turbo replacement question
It will move eventually, but it depends what the pressure is it take to open it.
Here is what I would do. Eliminate the n75. Just take a piece of hose and go from the nipple on the turbo directly to the wastgate. Bypass the n75 completely. If you boost over 4psi (what the wastgate is rated for without the n75 helping it), the wastgate is bad. I would swap it out with the old one
Edit- And because we need to make sure and eliminate all other variables, ensure the hose is TIGHT on the nipples and doesn't bleed any boost off. Perhaps secure them with zip ties

So you hit 12 psi with a line directly from the compressor housing to the wastegate? Sure sounds like a bad wastegate diaphragm to me then. Where did you get the replacement turbo?
Edit- or the wastegate spring might be broken or something too

For now, either run it with just a straight line from the housing to the wastegate (if you are chipped) and swap out wastegates from your old turbo. I think I have a couple k03 wastegates somewhere if you need one. Maybe take a picture of that wastegate and post it up though. It isn't an aftermarket is it?
The problem with running a straight line is it still violently snaps forward when I let my foot off the gas even a little. In order to remove the waste gate I'm going to have to take the turbo back off correct?
And it is oem

I don't think you have to take the turbo off. But it would probably be a **** ton easier with the turbo off. It is just two bolts around the compressor housing and the thing on the flapper
So I've decided that since the previous owner lied about the wastegate, there might be more problems with the turbo I bought. And rather than having more problems, and since my old turbo is done, I have decided to buy a franken turbo and run it as stock until I get the money for a tune and injectors. I will just keep the line directly from the compressor housing to the wastegate and stay out of boost until I get the ft

Decent option I suppose. But its gonna be tough to stay out of boost with no n75 to smooth with out.
Either way, you might as well just buy the frankenturbo and tune and injectors all at once, even if it takes a bit longer. keep in mind, with a frankenturbo, theres some other things you need to change like the FPR and oil lines (highly recommended). Good luck
