Hi guys, just want anybody where to buy a nice but not that expensive turbo timer. 1st time to have a turbo car here so if any one of you guys know the disadvantage and advantage of TT. It will be highly appreciated. It would be nice if someone can also tell me how to install it on my 1999 a4 1.8t. Thanks Guys appreciate your help.

 

no need to spend $80 on a TT if you can learn to drive like a normal person for the last mile of your trip. stay out of boost as much as possible the last few min of driving and let the car idle for 30 seconds before you turn it off and it will be doing the same job of the turbo timer.

 

Audi recommends that even for non-turbo cars, you leave the engine idling for a minute or two before shutting down.. I'd say all turbo cars should be idled before shutting down.
