That input is correct. One custom twin turbo Passat was built that I recall, and between fabrication, sourcing parts, and tuning, it had a build cost of roughly $11,000 and made around the power of a stock S4. There is so much more to that type of build than most people know, and historically it's come down to the fact that the guys capable of doing it don't have to ask about it. That's not a dis, just an observation based in history and experience and backed up by the results that lead everyone to tell you to just sell the car and buy a 1.8T.

What year is your A4? If you have a 12v V6 you might as well just forget about it. If you have a 30v ('98+) it's *possible*. Even then, I'd hardly call $500 for used S4 turbos with unknown mileage a good deal. You can get two brand new Frankenturbo K04 hybrids for a touch over a grand. To make that work on your car you'd need an almost complete donor S4, many hundreds (if not thousands) of man hours, and a well-appointed shop in which to work.

Its totally possible i can even sell you manifold, oils lines, intake manifolds, or the whole s4 engine.

Of course it's possible, long as you can afford all the parts and either pay for all the work or can DIY it. Same logic applies to an Enzo engine into a Miata...

I wish Frankens were that cheap. Their site has them listed for $2000 with inlets.

My bad, I think I was thinking of the F21 for longitudinal A4's with that price. Thanks for the correction!

I know I'm more than capable of doing it I'm just new to audi and imports. Came from a built 347 stroker mustang. Its a 97 a4. So it'd just be a waste of money then. Supercharging is the way to go I'm assuming then? Thanks again for all the input guys
