Default Upgraded SMIC hose part

So since I'm staying with my SMIC for now, I decided to get a upgraded set of intercooler hoses. Does anyone know why they sent me a little metal piece with the kit? Does it go from the inlet pipe to the hose that meets up with the DV?
Thanks

Seeing the rest of the kit would be helpful assuming you've not installed it already.

I think I connect this pipe from the dv to the inlet pipe. I have a plastic on there now
hope this helps and thank you

Yeah that looks like the hose that connects the DV to the turbo inlet. Perhaps the metal is designed to go between the turbo inlet and the hose in your picture?

It didn't go between the inlet and the dv, so I don't know how it goes. I didn't use it for now.
Anyone else have an idea?
Thanks
