I remember you saying that you were on a standalone. I know this blue car required the adaptation to the cluster. Have you worked on, or do you know, if the later model year B5 cluster can work directly or if it'll require modification, when used with a V8 ECU? Or have you not come across that yet?

As for cooling, I figure I'll see if the stock 2.8 radiator can take it or if it'll have to be upgraded. I had figured on a setup similar to yours with the dual electric fans, but not using standalone, I'd run a thermostat switch in the coolant system to control them.

Later B5 cluster will also likely require modification, for the tacho to correctly read a V8.

In your case though, you can fit a C5 A6 cluster of similar year, and it is fully codeable for I4, V6 and V8 engines.

How much (if any) trimming is needed on a stock B5 A4 front bumper to make clearance for the radiator and fans having been moved forward?

Radiator is in it's stock position, both at top and bottom, and fan is slimline.

So no trimming of bumper is required.

Both catalysts fitted - it involved removing the subframe, grinding off the I4 left-hand tranny mount, and welding in a regular V6 item. The V6 item allows the V6 bracket to be used, and is on a lower level, same as the right-hand side.

The raised I4 set-up doesn't allow a catalyst / down pipe to fit, as the distance between the floow and bracket's way too tight. Catalysts now fit perfectly, just need to fab up a Y-piece to link both catalysts to the 2.5" single Milltek.

Pictures will be up later.
